Description: Covalent Metrology seeks an Operations Associate as part of our growing Operations team. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, creative problem solving, and adaptability. Candidates must excel at effective communication and big picture thinking.
This will be a “mutli-hat” position as we are a start-up company and need to be flexible in the support we provide to all our internal teams. Operations is the center support hub for all teams/divisions within Covalent. This job takes the ability to multi-task, juggle several action items, independent, and group work.
Status: Full Time
Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2+ years of professional work experience in manufacturing, operations, or relevant industries.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft tools.
- Self-starter with the willingness to act and find opportunities to support.
- Ability to support cross functional departments and leaders
Operational Execution
- Receiving and Shipping of all customer samples used in work orders
- Use of Operations Portal for logging, tracking, workflow
Logistics & Sample Management
- Registration of new customer jobs/work – Incoming, WIP support, Finished Goods
- Manage any supplies needed for Logistics
- Prep and manage Customer Return Requests and external partner lab logistics
- Inventory Control, Disposal management
- Calendar/Scheduling of Little Blue (Covalent’s courier car) to pick up and drop off customer samples/jobs. LB runs M-F 10a-8p as needed
